COURSE DESCRIPTION The artificial insemination courses taught by ABS and KtK Livestock Services, LLC include many aspects of bovine reproduction including: 1) Introduction to AI and the Industry 2) Semen Handling 3) Proper A.I. Gun Loading 4) Anatomy and Physiology of Reproduction 5) Heat Detection & Sync Protocols 6) Semen Tank Maintenance 7) Practicing on Reproductive Tracts & Live Cattle The course is two days in length (November 7-8, 2025) and is held at Valentine Livestock Auction in Valentine, Nebraska. This course is designed for individuals who have little to no experience with bovine reproduction as well as those who have taken an AI course in the past. The course includes both classroom lecture and extensive hands-on time with the cows. Live cows, reproductive tracts, and all needed course supplies are provided for the student. This course comes with a complete manual including the above mentioned topics. Each student will have ample opportunity to learn the technique of artificial insemination. Lunch will be provided both days. A $150.00 deposit is required.* Price for the school is $650. The balance is due on the first day of the class. There is a school discount of 20% on a $500 semen purchase with a maximum $100 discount. You will be working with cows each day so wear suitable clothing and footwear.
